Hi, I was given this ring in 2005 by an old boyfriend who bought it new from a jeweler and gave it to me as an engagement ring. Long story short, it didn’t work out and he didn’t want the ring back. I’ve insisted 3-4 times and he wouldn’t take it . So what’s a girl to do? I’m thinking of selling it and feeling quite bad about it actually, but I don’t want it.

I wore it on a chain maybe 4-5 times and that’s it, there’s no damage to it although, I’m sure it’s look better if it were cleaned up. Other than that, I don’t know too much about it other than I believe it’s 18 kt yellow gold with 3 larger center stones. (looks like they may be roughly 1/16 kt each when compared to known 1/4 kt) and 6 stones, half that size (3 on each side). I know my description is confusing and I know I need to take it to a jeweler to get the straight answer, but I kinda want to know if it’s even worth the trouble. And how do I go about selling it anyways? Thanks in advance.

I am saddened that my tanzanite ring never looks as good as the day I bought it. It’s a 3 stone tanz. ring with 2 small diamonds on the side, 14k white gold. It’s a beautiful blueish purple.

I get it cleaned (by steam) at the place I bought it at every 4-5 months, but even a week after the cleaning it looks clouded and bad. I wear it daily doing dishes and housework, but I want to wear it often; I just need to know how to clean it.

I tried the warm dish soap method of cleaning it with a clean cloth. The top will look wonderful but the inside is hard to reach and will stay cloudy and dull.

They clean it with steam and they said not to use a traditional cleaner or machine.

Do you know how to clean tanzanite and even the hard to reach places safely and effectively?

My fiance and I just bought me a new engagement ring this week. It is a 1 carat 3 stone ring in 14K gold. I clean my ring every morning to get rid of dirt and anything else that would not make the diamonds shine. Is it safe to clean your ring everyday in a cleaner kit bought from the jewelery store? Will it make the gold and the diamonds those their shine and color if cleaned too much?

it is sacrete brand of concrete items in 1+inches deep..pounding even lightly shattered a uncut ruby “like sugar”.meratic acid eats the gold. i have ruined 1 stone and a ring so far.there are about 20 items total including 20 dollar gold coin.. slab is 28 in x12in x 2-3/4in now broken in 3 pieces. thanks for any help

I know that you can find tungsten bands with diamonds embedded in them, but why can’t I seem to find a ring that has elevated diamonds (like normal gold princess cut 3 stone rings or the like)? Does anyone make them? If not, why….
