My boyfriend is letting me pick out my ring. I really want the Tacori 3 emerald diamond ring but not sure what size stone to put in the center. would anyone happen to have pictures of what certain carats look like on your finger. i usually wear a sz 7 so my fingers are not that little. i don’t want something that looks fake but i want it to stand out. the tcw of the ring is 1.51 without the center…thank you

Would you/did you get a different center stone in your engagement ring?
I finally got my engagement ring yesterday after almost losing it. My fiance got laid off about a week ago and funds got tight. We had my ring about 1/3 paid off and thought we would just have to get the money back and take it off layaway, but instead decided since the setting was pretty much paid for, lets get a different center stone. So we put a 1 carat yellow sapphire in for $1100 cheaper!!! And bigger. lol.
What do diamonds mean to you?
I almost got an ice blue or a Kentucky blue sapphire, but they didn’t seem to fit the ring or my personality as well. Very pretty, but the yellow made it pop.

My g/f & I have been looking at engagement rings for an end of the year engagement. The only issue- the center stone she really wants is 2ct. The setting we both love is around $8200. A 2 ct good quality center stone is $14k -$20k. Ive read people on this board say they got it for $7k but there is just no way unless it is of very poor quality or the jeweler was a family member. Sorry but no.

So a min of $22k here in 3 months. Im not wealthy but I do pretty well usually. This will be tough with bills in 3 mos. Ive always been of the mindset to get the lady you want to spend the rest of your life with the very best you can. How can I do less and not disappoint when this is what she wants? Ive never been a believer in getting loans for this kind of thing but its looking more and more that way. A smart person would have saved for this so I guess. Any help???

a solitaire setting ring or a 3-stone wedding ring? Is round cut diamond better than a square one?

it has 1 stone thats probably 7 kts then two small ones that are probably 3.5 kts the wedding band is silver
