What do I do about a large diamond retailer who sold me a fake CZ instead of the real thing, yes I have papers
I walked into a large (50+) chain retail diamond store in the Denver area and purchased my wife a 3 Marquis stone diamond anniversary ring (Bout 2-1/2 carats)
It was on sale as I thought this would be good to save money,but it still cost me a sum to quiver about.
After getting back home in California I measured her wedding band to get this new ring resized before giving it to her.
To my astonishment they told me that these were fake CZ stones and not real diamonds.
3 more shops confirmed this with diamond testers.
After contacting the retailer who sold it to me, they told me to send it back to check this.
Registered and insured mail,so I know they got it,however they want another $2000 to put real rocks in this ring,
I figure that I already paid for it.
They have had it for many many months now
I contacted corporate HQ first they have heard of this
They chewed the manager
She called and chewed on me
And I haven’t heard back from them since
Is this fraud?

Say the young couple just getting ready to be married and is already biting at the bit for money, Not going to affect me much but still.
Any consumer advocate or diamond wholesale/retail organizations
that can be contacted about this situation and this retail vendor?
If I use their name in any internet postings and blogging webpages is this “slander” being it’s the truth with evidence to back it up?
